My Shooting Star

There’s a myth about shooting stars and wishes that goes thus – When a shooting star flashes across the night’s sky and you catch a glimpse of it, you should make a wish as that wish will come to be. The interesting thing about the myth is although there are many steady twinkling stars that light up the night sky; the most special is the one that runs across scarcely saying hi.

In my life’s sky, I have had many dear friends that have twinkled and brightened my dark and lonely moments. I have however, only known you for a short while, but in you, all my wishes come true.

I love you, my shooting star.
