Psalms 138:1-3, 6, 8
I give thee thanks, O LORD, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing thy praise; I bow down toward thy holy temple and give thanks to thy name for thy steadfast love and thy faithfulness; for thou hast exalted above everything thy name and thy word. On the day I called, thou didst answer me, my strength of soul thou didst increase. For though the LORD is high, he regards the lowly; but the haughty he knows from afar. The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; thy steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of thy hands.
Homily:
I woke up this morning with an upside down rainbow on my lips.
A feeling of overwhelming gratitude for my journey with God and the ways in which our relationship has grown.
With God, I feel like a last born. I get a lot of space to express myself and an occasional gentle nudge in the right direction.
There are things that I cannot express in words when I am in His presence. It makes me understand why some people resort to speaking in tongues or groaning. It is such an expansive feeling within, yet beyond.
I love God.
