A random thought on purpose came to me today.
Walk with me.
Purpose needs a timeline.
A timeline needs a start and an end time.
Neither the start nor end of life is known, so how can anyone know life’s purpose?
The times I have seen people come close to a purpose for life is when they are at what looks like the start – the birth of a newborn, or at what looks like the end – a terminal diagnosis.
Beyond that, purpose seems designed for the aspects of life that have a start and an end.
Finding an aspect that you can give purpose at every point in time might just be the meaning humans seek.
