Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come;
Adoration: His position as a leader and the impact of his choices, the gift of his destiny-shaping name, his sacrifice for a home better than the one he came from, all trigger reverence, understanding, and gratitude.
thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven.
Submission: Honor to him not for being perfect but for being of good intent in all choices and of great courage with all consequences.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Provision: He never returns from a sojourn without a gift to brighten faces. Whether it is a short walk, an outing, a short trip, or an extended one, his return gifts are the fondest memory there ever is.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Compassion: Teaching us to first extend grace before expecting any.
And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
Protection: Offering a path in times of uncertainty and a hand when we trip.
