Worry is a coping mechanism. It helps us see a real issue as bigger than it is, such that when the real issue comes, we’re either too exhausted to be bothered or it is not as big as our worry, and this somehow helps us breathe a sigh of relief.
Does that mean worrying is good? I am not a judge, but balance is important.
I think it is possible to deal with issues for what they are (speed bumps that refocus your attention), without worrying.
If you must worry, remember that it is not the real issue making you worried, but your interpretation of the consequences. Your interpretation of the consequences is usually redundant.
Be conscious that you are worrying and remember the Persian adage – “This too shall pass”.
