That is what writing daily has helped me with. Everyday stuff brings new meaning. I notice things. I pay attention. I resist less. I am open to what the familiar has to teach me.
Things that I would typically just walk by, grab my attention. What has always been in front of me, speaks to me in new ways, because I am present.
A word, laughter, a quote, music, everything and anything around me teaches me something about me. What I notice is a pointer to what I connect with – good or bad. What I do not notice, I am resisting and it remains ever present, until I acknowledge it.
It seems karma is not just a reaction to your action, but a nudge to experience the present more consciously.
The noise in my life is silenced more by experiencing, noticing and acknowledging, than by ignoring or resisting.
Writing daily has made what is familiar bring new insights. And that has been amazing.
