When I was in University, I was famous amongst my friends for always wanting to go on long walks.
Well, I was known for 3 things – long walks, straight talk and no alcohol. It was a shocker to most of them when I ended up working in an alcoholic beverage company. Till today, when my friends invite me over, they do not offer alcohol.
Today is for one of my observations from my long walks.
I noticed there was a particular streetlight which always lit up immediately I approached it. The streetlight was always off, but immediately I approached it lit up without fail. No other streetlight showed the same phenomenon. So I asked questions around whether the streetlights in school were motion, weather or light sensitive, but it turned out all streetlights were operated from a switchboard.
This phenomenon intrigued me so much, it became a favorite path for my long walks. I took almost all my friends through that path and some noticed the phenomenon, but they just mentioned it in passing. I held it sacred. My first kiss was under that streetlight.
Today the memory of that streetlight came back to me as I stumbled upon the streetlight interference phenomemon. I just smiled and remembered my magic streetlight.
