Desire

A longing for what is not lost, yet is missing.

A phenomenon where everything is perfect, yet incomplete, like a sweet melody ending before its final note.

It lights the path of its bearer, enabling clarity, but stings the eyes of onlookers. It is irrational to everyone but its bearer.

Like thoughts, it works best when applied to one thing at a time. Otherwise, it becomes less a guide and more a tormentor, pulling its bearer in conflicting directions.

Desire pulls, and all things that pull exist not to be fulfilled, but to drive us forward.
