Fear not

Hebrews 2:14-15
Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same nature, that through death he might destroy him who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong bondage.

Homily:
Fear not. Even unto death, God is faithful.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” – 2 Timothy 1:7

Dear Lord, during periods I have doubts and nurture fear, please remind me that you are with me.

Am I here?

I ask myself this question to check my state of presence – “Am I here?”

Typically, if I have to ask that question, the answer always is – “I am not here”.

The question that follows is – “Where am I?”

I find that I have drifted away, to somewhere surprising.

And then I ask the last question of myself – “Why am I there?”

I do not fully answer, before I bring myself back here.

I am here.

Diligent people crave the comfort of solitude, to see

Diligent people
You cannot use your hands to cover light, it will either shine through or burn you.
Same applies for people.
You cannot hold down a diligent human, they will either shine through or burn you.

Crave the comfort of solitude
Light comes and goes
Darkness is ever present
People come and go
I am ever present

To See
Light helps vision
Darkness helps attention
If you want to see what is without, open your eyes
If you want to see what is within, shut your eyes
Open eyes aid perception
Shut eyes aid observation
