Leave utilisation is not just a tool for work-life balance for the employee, but succession planning for the Organisation.

When an Organisation cannot afford for an individual to be away from office for consecutive weeks in a year, leadership should be worried and take action.

Leave utilisation is a Win-Win for all stakeholders.

The employee comes back refreshed and motivated, the relief feels valued and better understands what his colleague goes through and the Organisation develops greater agility and flexibility.

I shudder when Organisations are designed to de-emphasise leave utilisation.
