If there is any advice that can keep you grounded, it is this – Don’t be lazy.
It is in our exertion that we find satusfaction.
It is in the breaks between exertion that we find meaning.
Laziness can only be assessed by self and the truth is, you know, when you’re being lazy.
Do not start searching for reasons why you should do the task at hand, your brain will come up with many more on why you should delay exertion. It is a pseudo self-preservation brain trick.
Just start. Start now. Do the task at hand. Mindfully or mindlessly. And then the Zeigarnik effect will take over – the task started will occupy your thoughts so much, you will reprogram your brain to prompt you till the task is completed.
