Advice

We assume that things must be different for the one giving us sound advice. It must have been easier for them. There must have been an unfair privilege or comparative advantage. Or worse still, they do not understand that our case is different.

The truth is, right choices are never easy. No one can fully describe the sacrifices made or share the depth of the scars they carry. Best case scenario, they colour parts of it with meaning, because they have an opportunity to look back.

Listen to sound advice, from those that walk the talk.

Act on sound advice. Walk the talk.

Reflect on your walk.

Give back to those coming after you.

Love

John 13:34-35
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Homily:

The singular metric of discipleship – love for one another.

“Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.” – 1 John 4:20

Lord, give me the grace to love, as you have loved me.
