Do not worry

Acts 1:7
He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority.”

Homily:

“Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” – Matthew 6:27

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” – Matthew 6:34

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 27:11

Starve or Gratify

Most times (especially with what harms us):

It is not starvation that heightens desire, but gratification.

We want more of what we already had.

Do not try what you hate or experience what you condemn. You will fall deeper than those you previously abhorred.

Knowing what to starve and what to gratify sets people apart.

If you are unsure of whether a thing harms or arms you, starve yourself of it.
