Leadership and Change Management 101 – The Enemy

Point at the enemy.

Show your people the enemy.

Create the enemy, if an enemy is unavailable.

People are united by a common enemy. They crave that unity. A united people is the strongest force on earth.

If your people cannot see the enemy, you become the enemy.

And if you’re the enemy, you become isolated and nothing you do influences action. Without action, there can neither be any leader nor any change.

Heads or Tails

Whether you get well or not, you will pay the hospital fees.

Whether you get fit or not, you will pay the gym membership fees.

Whether you make money or not, you will pay the investment fees.

Whether you live in it or not, you will pay the rent.

Whether you win the court case or not, you will pay the legal fees.

Heads or tails, some people make money. Why can’t that be you?

No half measures

Luke 9:59-62
To another he said, “Follow me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”
But he said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”
Another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but let me first say farewell to those at my home.”
Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Homily:

All that matters requires all of you. No half measure commitments.

See the areas you flourish and you will find a common denominator – no looking back.

“No one who puts his hand on the plow and looks back is fit for its fruits.”
