“Complex systems possess potential for catastrophic failure. Human practitioners are nearly always in close physical and temporal proximity to these potential failures – disaster can occur at any time and in nearly any place. The potential for catastrophic outcome is a hallmark of complex systems. It is impossible to eliminate the potential for such catastrophic failure; the potential for such failure is always present by the system’s own nature.”

What if?
Whenever I say, “I have no choice”, it usually means one of two things –
- I do not like the alternatives.
- I am not paying attention to the alternatives.
The choices that have held me back, have been the ones that I made with a mindset of, “I have no choice”. Choices I made because I lacked courage. The courage to seek and reflect on the alternatives.
All the solutions exist. If they don’t, the problems will not exist.
Today, I will start replacing “I have no choice” with “what if?”.
What if “what if” doesn’t work? What if it does?
