Leadership approaches

There are many ways to lead people, but I broadly categorise them into –

  1. People are inherently good. I need to create an environment that promotes the good in them.
  2. People are inherently bad. I need to create an environment that limits the bad in them.
  3. People are inherently human. I need to create an environment that helps them be human.

Different leaders have achieved results with the different approaches. That is why they exist. Each approach works.

Which approach will you prefer to be applied to you?
Which approach do you apply to others?
Is there alignment?
Why?

Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

Matthew 18:1-5, 10
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them, and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Whoever humbles himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
“Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me;
“See that you do not despise one of these little ones; for I tell you that in heaven their angels always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven.

Homily:

Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

Children.

Why children?

Humility.
