A crooked stem plant

On my path today, I saw a plant in a flower pot with an unusual crooked stem.

Another plant in another flower pot of the same specie sitting beside it, had a straight stem.

The crooked stem plant looked out of place.

I got curious and I asked questions around the history of both plants and then it became obvious that though both of them currently sit side by side, they were once apart.

The crooked stem plant did all it could to grow towards the light, because it always seemed to be placed in the shadow. The straight stem plant also grew towards the light, but the light was always above it.

Now with both plants put side by side, and the light shining on both of them from above, they are both growing upwards, but the crooked stem plant still has visible crooks at its beginning and the straight stem plant has none.

To love and understand the human, is to explore and appreciate the journey.

Prescribe less

Matthew 23:23-26
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you tithe mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law, justice and mercy and faith; these you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.
You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel!
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you cleanse the outside of the cup and of the plate, but inside they are full of extortion and rapacity.
You blind Pharisee! first cleanse the inside of the cup and of the plate, that the outside also may be clean.

Homily:

“You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” – Matthew 7:5

If we only speak of what we live, we will prescribe less.

Living is hard. Talking about how to live is easy, but living is hard.

At the times people are living, they do not have the time to compare the lives of others to anything or anyone, as they continually see, that there is always more to do, to conquer self.
