The heart wants what it wants

When the Best is gone – I know that other things are not of consequence – The Heart wants what it wants – or else it does not care – Emily Dickinson

We are all irrational at something or towards someone. And in the times we are irrational, we are also naturally the most defensive.

It is in being irrational that we find new frontiers. That of course sets you on a collision course with established expectations and the guardians of those expectations. Luckily, we are designed to keep going, in spite of criticism.

Some call it passion, some call it obsession, some call it stubborness and even some call it stupidity. But when the heart finds what it wants, nothing else matters.

My prayer for you, is that your heart wants the things that also nourish, not just the things that consume.
