“The Emperor’s New Clothes”
One of the biggest challenges of leadership is not to be caught in the quagmire of wearing “The Emperor’s New Clothes”.
Which is why there is wisdom in learning to speak last, asking more questions and continually improving decisions as the facts change.
There is a tendency for people to agree with you as a leader, especially when you’re wrong.
Worse still, they will make it difficult for you to change your mind, because you are supposed to always be right.
And when you discover how wrong you are, the sunk cost is so great, that you decide to finish the race, instead of covering up and retracing your steps.
Avoid the burden of always being right.
Actively seek out divergent opinions and there is no better place to get it, than from anonymity and those ignorant of or shielded from your powers.
Embrace vulnerability as a strength and cut your losses, no matter how far gone you are.

Christ the King
Luke 23:35-43
And the people stood by, watching; but the rulers scoffed at him, saying, “He saved others; let him save himself, if he is the Christ of God, his Chosen One!”
The soldiers also mocked him, coming up and offering him vinegar, and saying, “If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!”
There was also an inscription over him, “This is the King of the Jews.”
One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying, “Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!”
But the other rebuked him, saying, “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?
And we indeed justly; for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.”
And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”
Homily:
Those who are, need no proof.
Those who are being, need no becoming.
The one who is, needs no justification.
The one who owns, needs no approval.
At all times that people put Jesus to the test, He did nothing.
At all times that people asked with sincerity, He gave everything.
There is nothing to prove and everything to give.
