Clouds

Every once in a while, the hurt returns
Neither planned nor rehearsed
It meets you vulnerable
The clouds start to gather
Thick dark clouds, masking the sun
You know the sun is there
But these clouds are in no hurry to clear
Acknowledge the hurt
Forgive again

Do not blame yourself for not forgetting
Do not blame others for enabling
The choice to forgive is never easy
Every once in a while, the hurt returns
To see if forgiveness is true
Answer “Yes”
Forgive again

Speak not of those clouds
It has come only to you
It will pass
You will pass
Every once in a while, the hurt returns
One action is always required
Forgive again

Live true

Matthew 11:16-19
“But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the market places and calling to their playmates, `We piped to you, and you did not dance; we wailed, and you did not mourn.’ For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, `He has a demon’; the Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, `Behold, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds.”

Homily:

All your excuses for inaction are just that, excuses. Your actions reveal your priorities.

Why do you keep waiting on a mediator – a pastor, a priest. Someone to smoothen your path to God. Are you in conflict with God? Do you not see how infantile such approach is? Do you not see that the path to Him is already made?

There is nothing new to be said or done. All that is required is already available to you. You sin, not because you lack knowledge, but because you flee from it. You turn away, looking for an excuse, and oh, whatever you seek you will find.

The message of love, reconciliation and obedience has been laid from your birth. Stop waiting for another messenger. The message has been placed in your heart. You are the messenger. Live true.
