Heterodoxy

There are many prevailing conditions that are unquestionable, yet the truth in your life questions them. It is unthinkable to speak against them, but your heart screams “NO” to them.

Whatever is orthodox was set out of convenience, to manage crowds, for without common beliefs or unbeliefs, coordination is near impossible. At least that is what we are made to believe.

But look back in history, at those that have truly moved the needle in any field, and you will find heterodoxy. Most of these change leaders suffered great pain, others fled affliction, because taking away the illusions that ensure life makes sense, is very uncomfortable for authority and the crowd. Yet, within individuals is a natural heterodoxy. There is a truth within us that is neither shared, relatable or common, yet it is true. And we find no rest, until we share that truth.

There is a huge sacrifice that awaits every choice of heterodoxy. You stand out and are picked on.

Just remember that your duty is to share, not argue or fight. Plant the seed, plant it in many places. Someone else, in whose heart lies another truth, will nurture it, with you or for you.

Do not die with your truth. Llive through it.

An opportunity to commune

Mark 6:34-44
As he went ashore he saw a great throng, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things. And when it grew late, his disciples came to him and said, “This is a lonely place, and the hour is now late; send them away, to go into the country and villages round about and buy themselves something to eat.” But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” And they said to him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread, and give it to them to eat?” And he said to them, “How many loaves have you? Go and see.” And when they had found out, they said, “Five, and two fish.” Then he commanded them all to sit down by companies upon the green grass. So they sat down in groups, by hundreds and by fifties. And taking the five loaves and the two fish he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples to set before the people; and he divided the two fish among them all. And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish. And those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.

Homily:

Our God does not just care for our spiritual well being, but also for our physical well being.

He starts from the inside first, but He never let’s His own go hungry.

While the disciples saw a limitation, He saw an opportunity to commune.

Listen to Him, let His instruction guide your life, and in the evening of your life, there will be an overflow of His blessings.
