I did a self assessment on my use of “I will call you back”. I found that I say it more often, to those that care the most. Those that i know will cut me some slack. Those that I know will forgive me, if I forget to call back.
I do not say “I will call you back” to those that bring needless anxiety and who feel entitled to talk to me whenever it is convenient for them.
I have decided to treat those that care as a greater priority. No matter what I am doing, I will have a chat to know why those that care have called. If I am busy, I will explain only after hearing them out.
I will no longer end any call from those that care with “I will call you back”. I will end it with “Thank you for calling. It means the world to me”. Because it really means the world to me.

We live with the duality of being.
I am like everyone. I am not unique.
I am like no one. I am unique.
I am like most people. I am in the majority.
I am like some people. I am in the minority.
I am here. I am present.
I am there. I am past and future.
I am me-first. I am selfish.
I am others-first. I am selfless.
We choose who we are to suit the circumstance.

John 1:29-34
The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is he of whom I said, `After me comes a man who ranks before me, for he was before me.’ I myself did not know him; but for this I came baptizing with water, that he might be revealed to Israel.” And John bore witness, “I saw the Spirit descend as a dove from heaven, and it remained on him. I myself did not know him; but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, `He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ And I have seen and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.”
Homily:
John bore witness to the Son of God. A longing laid in his heart from conception.
His greatness as a prophet never distracted him from his purpose –
“I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’”
“He must become greater; I must become less.”
