“If you go slowly, you will get better results.”
That is the mantra of all strength-training workout regimes.
It applies in life.

People only go back to contracts when something goes wrong with a relationship.
It is naive to think contracts are designed to improve relationships.
People only go back to contracts to find a way out of a relationship.
Contracts always have something wrong, and like confirmation bias, it reinforces your decision to hate the current relationship.
A contractor-customer relationship only talks about contract terms when there is a strain.
A husband-wife relationship only talks about contract terms when divorce is around the corner.
An employee-employer relationship only talks about contract terms when there is a major misalignment.
Contracts are important legal documents, designed to ensure that inevitable discord comes at a heavy cost. More important, is to build a relationship that ensures you never go back to the contract.

Matthew 7:7-12
Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! So whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
Homily:
What we give, we own.
What we take, owns us.
What we speak, we create.
What we create, speaks of us.
What we chase, we worship.
What we worship, shapes us.
We are perfectly designed for the reality we create.
To improve reality, return to life’s designer.
