Freedom

Freedom and discipline are directly proportional, when correctly applied.

To free self, discipline self.
To discipline others, free others.

You cannot impose discipline upon others, because discipline is active self-learning.

Discipline imposed is fragile and designed not to last.

Freedom given, leaves self with only alternatives to learn.

Too many companies are designed like African homes and we blame the employees, just as we blame the children, when imposed discipline is not working.

Choose a different way. There is a different way.

Ignore the itch

As an injury heals, it itches. No matter how great the urge, do not scratch it.

Scratching it feels pleasurable in the moment, but it stops the healing and reopens the wound.

Ignore the itch. Heal.

The same applies to past hurts. As you heal, there is an itch in the mind. You want to go back there and scratch away. No matter how pleasurable in the moment, you will only reopen wounds that will hurt even more.

Ignore the itch. Heal.

Bless the Lord

Psalms 103:1-4, 9-12
Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the Pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger for ever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor requite us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.

Homily:

Till the end of my days, my soul shall bless the Lord.
