Deadline

The good thing about life is that there is an end.

A life without end would neither have needed to create nor procreate.

When we want to accelerate creativity, we set a “dead”line. A cut-off point, after which no more utility will be provided.

The reason I think people are quite wasteful with time, is the bliss of not knowing their date of death. The illusion that there is no “dead”line in the moment and that death is always remote, even though it is ever present.

It is no surprise that people who are terminally ill and given a “time”line or “dead”line, accelerate and re-prioritize only what is essential.

We do not need morbid thoughts to live purposefully or consciously, but we do need deadlines on our various endeavors, to avoid complacency and boost creativity.

Creation (and procreation) needs a deadline, to keep life going.
