PAD – Post achievement depression

In a world filled with goals, visions, targets, objectives and aims, you would expect that we will find happiness just after achievement, but that is when emptiness is revealed.

To distract from the emptiness, a new goal, vision, target, objective and aim is required. On and on goes the rat race, until if you’re lucky, you hack the system, and find what exists as both a journey and an end.

Post nut syndrome is a good example of post achievement syndrome. A situation in which a human feels empty just after orgasm. All events leading to that orgasm seems to be filled with desire, vigor and excitement. And just after the goal of climax is achieved, there is a big fall from that high and the emptiness of past exertion reveals itself. But not all sexual experiences end with this emptiness.
What is the difference in those experiences that do not end in emptiness? Sex was not the goal, but a part of the process of building a deep relationship.

Building a deep relationship is both a journey and an end.

At any present moment, you can draw inspiration from where you have been, where you are and where you are going.

Build a life that is both a journey and an end.

What is truth?

John 17:11-19
And now I am no more in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name, which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. While I was with them, I kept them in thy name, which thou hast given me; I have guarded them, and none of them is lost but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled. But now I am coming to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them thy word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not pray that thou shouldst take them out of the world, but that thou shouldst keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; thy word is truth. As thou didst send me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be consecrated in truth.

Homily:

What is truth? The Word of God.

His Word is in you. All you need to see it clearly is to calm the storm within.

Murky waters are made clear with stillness.
Clouded thoughts are made clear with stillness.

You can measure your richness or poverty in His Word, by what you seek.

The rich seek peace.
The poor seek turmoil.

Peace, be still.
