Trust

When someone tells you to be open with them, do not be open with them.

Those that you can be open to do not need to demand it, they allow you unfold as trust grows.

When someone tells you your secret is safe with them, do not share your secret with them.

Those that are safe to share secrets with already hold the mundane things you share in trust.

When someone asks you to trust them, do not trust them.

Trust is not demanded, it is demonstrated.

Create in me a clean heart

Psalms 51:10-13, 16-17
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors thy ways, and sinners will return to thee. For thou hast no delight in sacrifice; were I to give a burnt offering, thou wouldst not be pleased. The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
