That was the response I gave people when I thought I did not have the time to explain myself.
It was a statement that was as cocky as they come, but it seemed to free up time for other things.
These days, I explain myself, because I can.
If I can choose to act without approval, I can also choose to explain why without prompting.
Those in my care at least deserve to know why.
I have found that in explaining why, I do not even need to take a lot of decisions anymore, because those in my care already know the direction I would choose and are already on their way.
Explaining the reasons behind actions is actually a time saving strategy, not a time wasting strategy.
