There is more to learn from our actions, than from our thoughts.
This is because our thoughts are fundamentally dispersed (with no accountability), and our actions are fundamentally focussed (with accountability).

Chosen
Luke 10:22
All things have been delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and any one to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
Homily:
One thing I questioned early when I became conscious of my faith was the use of the word – “chosen”, to describe God’s people.
As I dug deeper into the Word, I understood why.
Chosen de-emphasises any thinking that we can have a transactional relationship with God. Chosen means the choice is not entirely dependent on your choices, but on His.
When you relate it to marriage, it becomes a little clearer.
There are many options, but every woman and man must choose a partner. That choice is driven by many considerations, mostly larger than the individual.
Any choice that is strictly transactional is built to fail.
Any choice borne out of a loving relationship is built to last.
