Even your head needs and seeks rest every day.
Yet, too many of us carry on for days without resting our minds. Even in sleep, the mind remains troubled.
Meditation helps, but too many people use it like a sleeping pill. But just like with restoring healthy sleep, you need to address the underlying issues causing your mind to be perpetually agitated.
Your life’s course follows your mind’s course. This is sometimes called the “affect heuristic”.
To live a life of peace, your mind first needs to be at peace.
Most things that steal our peace are external. Ultimately, they own and direct our lives. The only part of us that continually resists is the mind. It never gives us rest, until what is internal takes back control from what is external.
Your life is the only thing you have. The continual trouble you put it through is tantamount to risking all you have. Declutter or unplug. Take back your life. Own it. Put your mind to rest.

Smile
Zephaniah 3:17-18
The LORD, your God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will renew you in his love; he will exult over you with loud singing as on a day of festival. “I will remove disaster from you, so that you will not bear reproach for it.”
Homily:
When God speaks to you, it is impossible not to smile.
I pray He speaks to you often.
