A hero and a villain

The concept of a hero and a villain as showcased in movies does not apply in reality.

Every individual lives a duality.

We are both the hero and the villain living as one, in one being.

What we offer is what serves us, or to define it more accurately, we offer what we have been conditioned to believe serves us.

You are human. Sometimes, you are the hero, other times you are the villain, but you are always human. As clear as water, as dark as carbon – you are both, yet you are neither. You are human.

Seek environments that bring out the hero, and suppresses the villain.
Flee environments that bring out the villain, and suppresses the hero.

You can choose what flourishes and what starves, depending on where you decide to put down roots.

Keep your word

1 Samuel 1:24-28
And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, along with a three-year-old bull, an ephah of flour, and a skin of wine; and she brought him to the house of the LORD at Shiloh; and the child was young. Then they slew the bull, and they brought the child to Eli. And she said, “Oh, my lord! As you live, my lord, I am the woman who was standing here in your presence, praying to the LORD. For this child I prayed; and the LORD has granted me my petition which I made to him. Therefore I have lent him to the LORD; as long as he lives, he is lent to the LORD.” And they worshiped the LORD there.

Homily:

The Lord keeps His promises.
We forget our promises.
The word of the Lord is the Lord.
Our word is wayward.
The Lord needs no reminders on His promises.
Do you remember your promises?
The Lord blesses those who are like Him.
Those who keep their word are ever beside Him.
