Just in case

This is why we hold on to many people, many stores, many files, many things…

When we need what we have held just in case, we cannot find them, and like those that do not have them, we go out and get a new solution.

This process ensures that the clutter in our lives pile up.

I went through my store last week and I was shocked at how much I was holding. Most of it had even been destroyed by the elements, yet I held on to them and even moved houses with them. Worthless load that I continued to carry, just in case.

There were some beautiful memories in the pile, but I almost lost them, because they were buried in too many “just in case” files.

Possessions are not proportional to our worth. Utility is. Utility is functional, not deferred.

Let love lead

1 John 2:9-11
He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness still. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and in it there is no cause for stumbling. But he who hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

Homily:

Your example is your faith.

Your habits are your beliefs.

You cannot say you walk in the light, while still carrying darkness within. The light must come from within, or else it will burn out and leave you stranded in the dark.
