Today, I reflect upon the first gift every child receives. The gift of family.
Like all gifts, you never know what time will make of it, but you are grateful for the space it fills in the moment.
Soso started a new journey today. Day 1 of setting a new direction, on her own terms. I sometimes have to remind myself she’s now an adult. Truth is, I often have to remind myself I am an adult too.
I am thankful for the privilege of a loving family, and the opportunity to see them courageously take ownership of their choices and chances.

People do not leave their comfort zones. It is fatal to.
In life, you expand your comfort zone. You do not leave it.
The struggle you see when people are expanding, is not a step out of their comfort zone, but the strain that comes with stretching.
A comfort zone is an anchor that keeps you grounded as you swing through life.
Most people searching for meaning in life are actually searching for their comfort zone.
The earth does not leave its comfort zone and jump into a new orbit. It sticks to its path, going in an eternal ellipse, and neither tires nor expires. Celestial bodies that leave their comfort zones burnout or expire.
When people advise you to leave your comfort zone, usually it means you are not in your comfort zone, otherwise, why would anyone advise you to leave where you are flourishing?
