Doubters

Today, we converted doubters to believers.

Doubter: A plans conference for the full year cannot be done virtually in 1 day. We need 2 days.
Same person today: This is the best plans conference we have organized, and we did it in less than 6 hours.

Doubter: I don’t want us to just tick the box, and not go deep.
Same person today: The session was so interactive. People really came prepared.

Doubter: It is impossible to keep people engaged virtually for 6 hours.
Same person today: Even when the local area network was poor, I switched to my phone, because I was enjoying every interaction.

There is a time to debate, but today was a time to show up and show our work. We accepted doubt as an opportunity, and we maximized the opportunity. They would not have been so wowed, if they believed in the first place.

I am thankful for doubters, for because of them, we gave this our all.

Friction

You either make money by reducing friction or increasing friction.

Entrepreneurs are biased to reducing friction, while Governments are biased to increasing friction.

Without friction there is no grip.
With only friction there is no movement.

The best economies have a good balance of both to keep moving forward.
