Life

Today, I heard that empty thumping again.

The sound of sand hitting the lowered coffin of a loved one.

An echo reminder of the emptiness that the flesh represents.

A body is present in there, but there is no presence.

As we get sucked into our journeys, it is helpful to get a glimpse of our common end once in a while.

I am thankful for life, and the opportunity to give, care and share.

Games

The earlier you learn to play, the better you get with time. Today is always the perfect day to start.

If you fail, you learn and try again. If you succeed, you get bragging rights and try again.

You have a preferred way of executing, but you try out other ways that seem to work for others. Constantly adapting.

You upgrade to harder levels as you win, never getting comfortable at the level where you are guaranteed a win.

Win or lose, it is all fair play, as long as you can play tomorrow.
