Today, I had an enlightening conversation with an inspirational leader.
She shared what she called the 3 limiting beliefs of humankind –
1. I must do well and win the approval of others.
2. Other people must treat me considerably, fairly, and exactly the way I want to be treated, or at least the way I treat them.
3. I must get what I want when I want it, and I must not get what I do not want.
“Musts” give a pseudo-feeling of control, but life is largely out of our control – from the womb to the tomb.
It is exciting how a one hour conversation can be so packed with gifts.
I am thankful for beautiful minds and the serenity they provide.

Call for help
Many people have caused more harm by trying to help, than by letting things be.
If you are not trained for the help required, the best help you can provide is to quickly bring in the right help.
Ignorant help can be fatal to both the victim and the helper.
If you are not sure about your expertise, assume that you do not know enough. Call for help.
If you are sure about your expertise, assume that at some point you will also need help. Call for help.
As a default, in any emergency, your first reaction should be to first assure your safety, next step is to call for help. Do these before you decide on next steps.
