Feedback

Today, I was reminded again that the words I say are within my control, but the words people remember are out of my control.

Every time someone tells me about the words I said that made an impact on them, I struggle to remember. Many people are surprised I do not remember.

This realisation has made me very deliberate with my words, as my brain does not have the capacity to remember all that my tongue tells.

Words shape lives in ways that are out of our control. Use them with care.

I am thankful for feedback on ways in which my words shape worlds. I am consciously shaping a world of inclusive possibilities.

Values

Values are an end and a journey.

You do not achieve a value and say what next?

You live it. Life tests your commitment to it at irregular intervals.

Sometimes you fail, other times you stay true. In all times you learn.

Values are not static. As you observe, notice, and understand yourself better, your values come into full view.

There are trophy and scapegoat values. It depends on the society in which you are nurtured. Values that provoke bragging or grumbling are not your values, they are values imposed on you.

Values are personal. They are levers that raise or lower your actions.
