Today, I was schooled on a tradition I once read in a book, but I somehow assumed it was fictional.

“Do women know that they are meant to give the man an engagement watch after receiving the ring?” – @thebiyitudors

I have not even gotten an engagement wristband, not to talk of an engagement watch.

By the way, I even had to buy an engagement ring twice. The first one was snatched at my place, in an incident I will write about some day. I did not like the way her finger looked without one, so I went all out again.

Thinking about it now, I should have had a Patek Philippe and a Rolex wristwatch by now.

Instead, I am stuck with my loyal Tissot.

I am thankful for random posts that wake me up to my entitlements. I will demand for my right going forward.

On cryptocurrency

Just a friendly reminder that you did not lose money by not investing in cryptocurrency.

Besides, if you are sure it is a worthwhile investment, you can still invest now. Someone is always selling.

The gains reported on any asset you do not own are not a loss to you.

A loss can only be made on an asset you actually own.

If you would like greater than 800% returns on an investment, then you should also be open to greater that 800% loss. Volatility swings both ways. Your appetite for volatility must also swing both ways, to be at peace with any investment.

Again, you never lose money on what you do not own. You lose or make money only on what you own.
