Serendipity

Today, I reflected on the autobiographies I have read.

A common theme is how hard it is to put a framework around success.

The probability of all stars aligning in the same way as it did for another is infinitesimal.

You can choose to learn skills which made those you admire better prepared for the opportunities they were presented, but you might never have those opportunities.

Or you can choose to build the skills required to explore the opportunities that seem to always come to you, however unglamorous.

I am thankful for serendipity, and the perfectly designed opportunities it presents.

Drafts that need to be published

Beauty and ruin
Nothing about the beauty of the blue sea can prepare you for the richness of its depths, where ruin lies.

Storms
A storm is non-discriminatory in its approach.
It clears everything, leaving ruin.
Time either turns the ruin to celebrated history, or it births something more beautiful in its place.

Nature
Nature gives, more than it takes. This is why it keeps going.

Wounds
A wound itches as it heals. Scratching is a sure way to reopen it. Resist the urge to scratch.

Protector
The protector must be protected if protection is to be assured.
