Friends

Today, I met an old friend by chance.

Old friends bring out the child in you. No rules could curtail my excitement at seeing him.

We were screaming, hugging, shaking, laughing…let me stop here before I start singing a Naira Marley song.

We checked in on family and shared highlights of our story since we last met. Then we started exchanging notes on mutual friends we were still in touch with and some we’ve lost.

This week has been a rough week, but I am ending it on a high.

I am thankful for friends that hold some of my most treasured memories.

Trade-offs

Success at anything comes with trade-offs.

You can neither allocate your time nor attention to all things at once, even with technology.

Setting goals on various aspects of your life based on your allocation of time and attention is essential.

Allocation of time is dependent on your understanding.
Allocation of attention is dependent on your priorities.
An alignment between your allocation of time and your allocation of attention is what brings success.

It is a waste if where you spend the most time gets the least of your attention.

Everyone makes trade-offs. Be deliberate about yours.
