Face-to-face

Today, I noticed on the news how various leaders are struggling with deciding how to greet eachother when they meet.

Handshake? Fist bump? Elbow bump?  It sometimes looks awkward, yet it is beautiful at the same time, as it seems to be an icebreaker.

The traumas of the past can be a source of connection if we understand how it affected each of us.

I am thankful for the gradual return of face-to-face engagement. Just like trees need each other for a thriving forest, humans need eachother.

A gift and a curse

Humans adapt. To the good, the bad and the ugly.

Allow anything long enough and it becomes acceptable.

Avoid anything long enough and it becomes unrecognizable.

If you accept what you detest, it will define you.

If you avoid what you admire, it will desert you.
