Today, I was visited by my friends. Husband and wife that live like siamese twins – inseparable. They find humour in every experience.
When they visit me, they always bring food I can’t say no to. When I visit them, there’s always food I can’t say no to. Proper African family.
They are kind beyond measure.
I am thankful for friends that bring laughter.
Tail events are events that are possible, but improbable.
Their improbability makes us less prepared for them, leading to significant swings in outcomes – positively or negatively.
Which is why it is rather naive to ignore the role of luck in the fortunes of humans.
All the things you do intentionally have limited payoffs and tradeoffs.
It is in the unintentional that differentiation lies.
There is an odd chance you will find success in anything, but if you keep at it, the improbable usually happens.
The odds of success get even, if you are willing to give one more try.
