Today, I enjoyed mass at the new catholic church I tried out.
There was a clear focus on the essence of mass – eucharistic celebration, and a de-prioritisation of fund raising.
I was happy to see that it was intentional, as the priest had to explain he was focussed more on solemnity than fanfare. Obviously, some members of the church were complaining about his new direction.
I am thankful for leaders that prioritise the fundamentals.

Go into every debate with the mindset that both sides are right, but one side has the argument that applies right now.
The other side’s argument might have applied in the past or will apply in the future.
Which is why every side of an argument must be documented.
You do not want to miss the opportunity to find what works, faster, when the current argument that applies no longer works.
