Opportunity

Today, I had quite a significant number of diverse visitors.

I use Monday afternoons to connect with external stakeholders. This ensures I have enough time to follow through on their needs, and provide feedback before the week runs out. That way, no conversation remains open into the weekend.

In almost every meeting, there is a need requiring urgent attention. My job is usually to de-escalate the urgency, without watering down the importance, and then finding alternatives that can meet each need in a win-win way for the long term.

Most conversations re-energize me, but some drain me. I can tell which is which before the meeting, so I keep the drain open before opening the tap.

I am thankful for the opportunity to meet people of all hues in my line of work.

The secret

The secret to anything lies before our eyes in plain sight.

The greatest trick of life is to present all we need in its simplest forms, but we insist upon complicating our reach.

What is holding you back is not unavailability, but incredulity.
