Today, I got schooled on a topic I thought I knew well.

Last week, I nominated a teammate to do a presentation about a topic I thought I knew well. I just gave him the general framework of the idea, and asked that he makes a presentation following his research.

I was amazed at the depth and breadth of knowledge he packed into two slides. I was getting new insights on a topic I have known and practiced for more than 7 years.

One of those rare moments when an exceptional teammate shows that they are still underestimated.

I am thankful for the magic people bring when they are constructively stretched.
