Shine the light

Today, I had a discussion with a friend about his job.

One line from him stood out – “This is a great place to earn, not a great place to work. I like the pay, but I hate the man I am becoming paid to be.”

I understood what he said. It made me think. What kind of man am I being paid to become?

I am thankful for conversations that shine the light on dark alleys.

River of joy

I posit that things get better in the lives of lovers because there is a river of joy that waters them all day and night.

The one who wakes up to endearing messages has a headstart over the one whose only warmth is from the shower.

The one who gets a random specific “I believe in you message”, is more motivated than the one who only gets broadcast messages.

The one who gets tucked in when they roll out of the blanket, experiences more restful sleep than the one who even forgot to have a shower.

Which is why when the river starts to dry up, every aspect life wrinkles.

If the river is so essential, how do you keep it flowing for eternity?

Pay attention to its source, and the many streams that feed it along the way.
