Nurture

Today, I rang up a former mentee to ask if he was willing to mentor a budding talent I just identified. He agreed to give it a shot.

Mentor-mentee matching is like matchmaking. You might think two people are perfect for eachother, yet they never get past day 1.

I do not know how this relationship will turn out, but I know none of them would leave the table with less than they brought to it.

I am thankful for top talents that make out the time to nurture the next generation.

L

Everytime I see an “L” on a car, I am kinder.

You might never understand the bullying and ridicule learners go through in the hands of experienced drivers, until you ride with them.

Which is why a good number of people try to hide their “L”. They brand it – “fake it till you make it”.
This behaviour has led to so many avoidable accidents, but it is perfectly designed to happen, because of how society treats labelled learners.

Wearing an L is not for the lily-livered.

It takes self-awareness, humility and courage to admit you are a learner, but it assures a deeper learning experience.
