New experiences

Today, I tried out a comedy club show.

I struggled with the idea for some hours, but finally decided to give it a shot.

One of my new commitments is to embrace outdoor activities more.

It was good to see people embrace vulnerability, step up, tell their jokes, and not drop the mic until they had finished their set, with or without applause.

I did not enjoy it, but that is a feature of the adventure of trying new things.

I am thankful for new experiences.

Art

Artists do not know the piece that will unlock fame, so they pour their being into every piece.

They understand that in the lottery of breakthroughs, it is wise to prepare every piece that gets drawn to bear their signature with pride.

Even though each piece holds a part of them, very few pieces hold their hearts. Interestingly, their favourite intentionally crafted pieces are not as well received as their playful pieces.

Ask any artist about their favourite piece, and you will be shocked at how far it is from the limelight, mostly overlooked by all but the artist.

That is the cross of art. You never know how your creation will fare in the real world. Your best bet is to always give each creation all that is required to at least get out of the door, and leave the door open to receive them back no matter how they fared.
