Home

One thing that cleans the prism through which we view life is a trip back home.

Home can be the places you grew up in or the people you grew up with.

You will quickly realise how far you’ve come (forward, sideways, or backwards), because home is the starting point.

I once took a trip to a house I used to call home. It was my entire world at the time, and everything about my being was anchored there.

It was shocking how small it had shrunk (or so it seemed) and how discomforting the environment felt. Yet it brought a smile.

The memories it held were impossible to recreate, and they are cherished.

It cleaned my prism to see just how grateful I should be for how far I have come, forward.

There are many places and people I call home. They all offer a perspective on my journey.

You should try visiting home too.
