I am learning daily that when someone comes to me, I must drop everything and pay attention to them.
Listen to what they are saying, watch what they are doing, and ask clarifying questions when I feel a fog building.
Most times, people just need someone to see them and hear them out.
At some point, I felt people came with more problems than the solutions I could muster.
I have come to find that people do not come to me for solutions. They already know the solutions to their problems.
What they need me for is to lighten the load of the problem by acknowledging it.
When people notice that I see the problem, they are more courageous to embrace the solution that has always been in view.
